WTB: Backcountry Adventures UTAH

Anyone have a copy of this book that they would be willing to sell? It is out of print and I just spent an hour trying to find one in stock. It is the newest edition from 2006.

Please PM me with price. I need it for an upcoming trip.

thanks.

steve

Apparently it's printed on gold and bound with Ambergris.

Steve ,
Have you tried www.albris.com or www.powellbooks.com ? Albris seem to have it available .
I highly recommend both of these companies .

Re: WTB: Backcountry Adventures UTAH

I have a copy. It cost $100 to buy several months ago. I see it is much cheaper now. Don't know why it cost me so much, but it's a great read. If you just want to borrow the book you could pick it up in Vegas on your way to Utah. Then you could return it on your way back.

I also have the Backcountry Adventures for Arizona and Colorado. Fortunately, they didn't cost as much.

I purchased the smaller 4 book collection by the same author. Not near as nice. I see there are some you can purchase on line for about 240.00
I'm sorry I let mine get ripped off now seeing those prices.

Thanks for the suggestions but unfortunately Powell doesn't have it. Alibris.com says $58.95 but when I clicked on it the price is over $200. I checked a few other places and no one seems to have it in stock for even a remotely fair price. Any other places?

Re: WTB: Backcountry Adventures UTAH

Thanks to all those that PM'd me and offered to let me borrow a copy. I do really appreciate that. If I cannot buy one then I will take one of you up on that.

Turns out the publisher's website (ADLER PUBLISHING ) is not working-may be a bad sign. There was some talk I found that they may have went out of business. I sure hope not. These are great books.

Any other suggestions on where to buy--or anyone want to sell me their copy even for more than they paid?

steve

Golly, lets see! I'll sell you mine for $100, the price I paid, and then buy another copy on the Internet for $59.97 at Amazon.com

Re: WTB: Backcountry Adventures UTAH

Found one for a fair price. Thanks everyone.

FYI, I called the publisher and they said they don't have plans to reprint any of them. If you want any of the series, I suggest buying them now.

I picked up the Colorado and Arizona for under $30 each on Amazon. Utah cost me $75 from a private seller.
