You can get a stainless rear door ladder for $110:

http://www.amazon.com/Surco-093F-Stainl ... B001GXF2LC

Whoa! Read the reviews on this ladder before you order one! Looks like there's some confusion on getting the right item.

Good luck

I haven't read the reviews, but I'm very happy with mine. I would not consider the aluminum ladder they offer (the attached rungs can move), but the fully welded stainless ladder is perfect for me.

That's just it. The buyer who reviewed this one didn't get the stainless it doesn't sound like. They got the cheaper Surco one which they say looked nothing like the one pictured, so probably the older Aluminum custom van style.

I bought this one...

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009ZM ... UTF8&psc=1

Link's different, seller is the same, price only $0.10 more? But I received the one as pictured. I would have loved to find one in black though.

Re: WTB - Ford van side ladder

Now that I had time to re-think it I'm really leaning toward a side ladder. I just installed a yakima roof rack with a box and there is no way I could access it from the rear. Thanks for the tip though !

I had that rear ladder in the links, and I have a side Aluminess ladder now. There were just too many times that the load would make the rear ladder hard to use (skis, bikes, boats.... anything that was longer than the roof). Also was unusable if I had a big stuff on the hitch rack. The rear ladder held up fine, just wasn't in a good spot for me.
