1000 Trails

Does anyone have a 1000 Trails membership?

OR

Has anyone ever had any direct dealings with 1000 Trails?

OR

Has anyone heard any stories about 1000 Trails?

I haven't dealt with them yet.. but won (or at least thought i did) a trip with them. We didn't go, because we rather camp primitive away from people in remote locations.. but now they harass me with junkmail like no other. If i saved all the junk they've sent i could build one heck of a bond fire.

Im also interested if anyone has ever actually gone on one of their invites.

We did stay with them a couple of weekends ago.... because it was free, close, on a lake we had not seen, and we were going to get a $50 gift card on top of that..... oh and we were celebrating a wedding anniversary.

We too would rather camp primitive, but that is not always available.

The facilities were nice (although nothing close to Cherry Hill we saw in Washington DC). We did have to listen to sales pitch, but it was not bad.

This is what prompted my questions.

They have a ton of facilities, all over the East and West Coast. THey also have an association with other RV and camping locations and that makes their coverage much greater.

We did not pull the trigger, but it looks like it would be a nice to have if you are camping and RV'ing over a number of decades.
