I went to the filling station today and asked the attendant for $5.00 worth of gas. He farted and gave me a receipt!

Skywagon,
Is this some type of alternative fuel I haven't heard of yet?

Fuel
My wife recently brought to my attention that a number of the Sams Clubs are now offering fuel at a discounted price to their members . A very simple process that requires a club membership and the credit card of your choice .
I have filled up three times Diesel/Gasoline in the last two weeks at about an average savings of twenty plus cents per gallon . Not all locations have fuel but if you access their sites and enter your zip code it will give the locations closest to you with a listing of their services . Costco is also a viable discount source for Gasoline as some of their locations . www.costco.com and www.samsclub.com should get you to their sights for these lists of services .

Not that these are cheap fuel prices, but we live in a small mountain community everything costs more.
The neat thing is that diesel is finally the same price as gas!!

Yep, it would be nice if the differential between diesel and gas fell back to its pre 2004 average. In my area, diesel has been as much as $1 per gallon above mid grade gas.

2.03 on 99 highway in Ripon Ca. on Sunday.
2.09 in Turlock down the street from me last week then the price per barrel dropped and it went to 2.16 for Christmas. Figures.

Yesterday filled for $2.29 after going by my favorite fill spot and finding it for 9¢ more. In the mountains it ranged from $2.38-$2.50, but on the way back we saw it for $2.09, and I was tempted to spend the ½ hour topping off the last 8 gallons!

2.76 for diesel in Yosemite at Crane Flat the only station inside the park open and they closed down today. Just outside the park it was about a buck higher.
