That just hits waaaaay to close to home for me. As a young lad, my folks had an '78 Winnebago Brave. Already being a 4WD nut at the time (I wasn't even driving yet), I scoffed at the sheer size and lack of maneuverability the big Winnie suffered from. Destined to live the life of a paved campsite camper, I looked to vans as a way of escape. Cruising I-5 at 55 MPH in the middle of the Central Valley in August with no dash A/C didn't help either. I watched the conversion vans at the time fly by us and venture off into the Siskiyous and Sierras in search of adventures...

They were driving the PA a lot faster than the SMB. Looked like a lot of fun.

I wish someone could explain that claim at 2:20 - 19 inches of travel with the sway bar connected and 26 inches with it disconnected; those are Trophy Truck numbers.

Otherwise the video was cool.

Yeah. My solid-axle-equipped Toyota truck with Deaver springs couldn't come close to that. Umm...what about that thing above the front springs called the frame?

Agreed...cool video. I loves me a Baja Tan SMB...

So Ive always wondered, how/where do you actually measure it from? I had more drop to go here but is there an estimate on the spread in this picture?
