Just got back from a solo (except the dog) backpack into a very remote part of Utah canyon country. The trip was somewhat impromptu but well worth the solitude it provided. I arrived at the trailhead in late evening to frigid temps and a howling 40-50mph wind. I popped the top, and sat in the warmth and shelter of the SMB eating piping hot enchiladas and warm tortillas and sipping a cold beer. Luxury for sure, as I ate sand and froze my butt off for the next few days.
Azlo not very keen on his backpack.
