Backyard Camping

Finally had time to dig up my rarely used Oztent RV5 since I got the van, set it up and will use it as a temporary husband Fido and nap room. Or just as a mobile man cave.

It's a very stout tent, I forgot how nicely and easy this tent sets up.

I still prefer the van.

Cheers!

I've been backyard camping. The kids think it is the same as 'real' camping, just closer to home. Even did SMB driveway camping.

Often backyard camping is more peaceful than National Park CG camping.

My dad use to let me "camp" in the back yard in the summer until he discovered I was running wild all night. I knew I was in trouble when at 2am he found me miles from home. Spent the rest of the summer sleeping in the house.

Bein' silly in the yard : )

we were practicing for a "Walton's" "Goodnite Johnboy" moment ...a test hang of our DIY hammock stand with 2 Amok v3, 1 Warbonnet Blackbird, and 1 Hennessey Expedition.

Just did a family SMB camp out in the driveway last night! Tom & Jerry cartoons look great on the 22" drop down monitor. The speaker system in the van gives a pretty impressive suround-sound experience too.

I have an OzTent RV5 in addition to my teardrop trailer. Haven't had to use both on one trip as it's just been my son and me, but OzTents are amazing tents.

I traded my Oz for some work on my van rig. Didn't have much use for it. Thought I would when I first bought it but my van filled that use.
