Re: *Blushing* (not van related)
Marc, you guys ever get down to The Crown (restaurant) in Indianola? I know it isn't right around the corner or anything, but It's unbelievable, kind of like your business mixed with an unbelievably good famous restaurant. Check it out!
Also, I've got an idea for a painting for Christine. Think American Gothic. You two standing in front of the SMB (your home, sort of), you with a sleeveless shirt, hat and sunglasses in classic Marc Deloach style holding a shovel (removed from the front bumper of the SMB), and Christine, dressed in a classy old dress standing by your side (the dress made of...........um.......cowhide! Yeah Cowhide!)
Just thinkin'................

Re: *Blushing* (not van related)
@Gnarvan... Hmmm, got me thinkin' on that. My first "fear" is that a wooden cutout of a van has to look like, well, a van... 'specially if it is brand specific. A fish cutout only has to suggest a fish-like form. This is the same dilemna Nissan has.
@Scotty... I'll be in Indianola on Thursday to buy some salvage lumber from one of my regular suppliers. To answer your question, yes I've been to the Crown a few times over the years, but it has been a few years, might try to to BS my supplierdude into taking me out to lunch... but he is a tighta$$ MF, so may not make it this time. I'd buy you lunch there if you passed through here!
And a little movie from a couple years back that gets close to your Gothic theme... drumroll please!

Re: *Blushing* (not van related)
The corn farmer video was a hoot. Did staking up the corn work?
The wooden van wouldn't have to look exactly like a 1992 Ford E350. Get something close that shows the aerodynamic brick I drive and it would be good enough for me. I'll grant you artistic license to be creative.
If you do start making them I could probably put in a few good words with the list admins and I bet they would issue you one of those cool looking vendor thingies that pops up next to your name on every post.

Re: *Blushing* (not van related)
LOLOLOL!!!! You've already done it!!!! Well, sort of anyway. Another great video.
Yeah, Indianola's a great old town (not to mention BBKing's birthplace). My grandparents and of course Mom and her four bro's and sis's are from there. My Grandad ran the Murphey Dairy there, supplying milk and everything else dairy to just about all of Sunflower Co. from right after WWII until he retired basically. Lots of history there.
Unfortunately they are gone so not much reason to go there anymore.

Yup, the corn was saved, and particularly tasty that season
Only problem I can see with making wooden vans is this: y'all will be sending 'em back for upgrades all the dang time
Seriously, I may mess with that idea a bit, but I have about a year of custom orders in front of me just now. I'll send Jage the first one and see if I can get to be a vendor.

Oh, Jage will "pay" for his, you can bet on that... matter of fact, I'd imagine if you asked him, he'd tell you that he has "paid forward" with ol' twogone. Besides, you don't want a dang prototype, you want the perfected edition... right? dontcha? right?
While we're on the subject of prototypes, here's another silly little film about a "first"

Re: *Blushing* (not van related)
Marc
Still adding up your beer expenses? I'm trying to get an idea what to bribe you with in order to get the first ever Taylor Arts produced painted SMB-Forum Vehicle.
You say you owe a debt to Jage......Well.....
I'll pay in BEER money.
I liked the Alligator video by the way. You two always have a lot of fun. I've also noticed a trend. There always seems to be beer in your videos. Need some beer money?

Re: *Blushing* (not van related)
Yep, Beer money is the best money! Let me get a few weeks down the list and I'll see if we can't put a Gnarvan rendering together. You are on the list.
