Yeah, that ad stinks of scam. If you can't get somebody to actually inspect the van and video it going onto the truck stay away. Then you want video evidence of it getting chained down in the container. Your situation is a scammers dream. You want to be real careful.

GGE - The Van you sent the link on IS A SCAM - they have had that Ad up for almost 3 years that I know.
I've been helping a friend find a Rig and tried to contact them several times about 2yrs ago - Its NOT legit. Same vehicle & same Ad have come up on this Forum a couple times now.

Try private messaging "Pshitt" a longtime member on here who travels Europe in his E350 hightop...he has any info you might need about getting a van (real deal/legitimate)like that over to Germany...

i bought a Sportsmobile via this forum and i am german. But in the moment (ok since 3.5 years) i am traveling with it a transafrica Trip.
Feel free to ask me! Unfortunatly internet is not always availabe here but ill do my best.
My shipping company was Rinkens. Very reliable and good in price. They use to shipp a lot of oldtimer to germany. So they handle with care.

I travel to Germany once or twice a year for business. If you buy a van here in the States I’ll drive it over for you! ;-)

If you get that gig, at my expense I'd like to install an underwater Camera & locator so we can track your progress.

I'll chip in on that expense!

Or maybe BrianW was thinking some pontoon tires would work?

Gunter,
there is good company in Germany which handles everything from searching, checking the car, oversea shipping, TÜV etc.
A Couple of people reported very good experince with USA-Import Krause: Autos, Ersatzteile, Zubehör aus den USA

Have a look.

ciao,
Martin
