Camping Gear list, what are the top 20 items?

Getting ready for my first camping trips, what additional gear do I need the most? There is only so much room in my SMB!

1) alcohol
2) cup for alcohol
3) ice for alcohol
4) mixers for alcohol
5) cooler for alcohol and mixins
6) chair to sit in while i drink alcohol
7) stuff for fire to keep me warm while i drink alcohol
8) place to sleep after im done drinking alcohol
9) bucket to ralph in near sleeping area
10) food
11-20) repeat 1-10

seriously though, for us it depends on what kind of adventure were on. sometimes we focus on mt biking and center everything around that. sometimes we focus on doing nothing but partying, etc. So every trip is a little different as far as packing goes.

plus ive noticed that our "list" changes every year too. some things we stop taking on every trip after weve hauled them for years. no real rhyme or reason. i guess its our own personal camping evolution, lol.

If you are anything like me, you'll be buying everything camping related for years, then selling it on Craigslist as you find a newer, smaller, lighter, better one, sometimes again and again. Honestly, this is a good question but it's like asking to name the top 20 most beautiful women, pretty much impossible. Anyway, I'm game.

1. coffee and a way to make it
2. grill/stove with propane canisters
3. stuff to cook on it, or in other words, whatever food you need
4. lantern and extra mantles/batteries
5. good camp chairs, finding the right ones is an elusive hunt
6. shoes, clothes, hats
7. meds! (+ first aid kit)
8. camera
9. chargers for all of your portable electronics (cell phone, tablet, laptop, etc.)
10. books to read, maps to reference
11. cash, in multiple denominations (meaning make sure to have lots of 5's and 1's + change for tolls, bags of ice, camping fees so you don't have to donate 9 extra bucks when the site is $11, etc.
12. bear spray, mace, gun, knife, etc. so you aren't totally unarmed (in case of emergency) A great 'legal' substitute here is a can of bee/wasp spray, shoots 20 feet and will deter most anything.
13. fire extinquisher (should be working and accessible in every camper always)
14. basic tools for your van and emergencies (practicing changing a flat on your van, using the OEM tools and manual if needed can be invaluable also). Flats never happen in a convenient spot.
15. A good tarp, straps, and bungees, good for all kinds of camp fixes
16. music, never leave home without it.
17. TP and paper towels, and dish soap and handi-wipes stay in my van always
18. Flashlights and extra batteries, I prefer a headlamp for just about everything and they take up little space, but YMMV.
19. hatchet/saw/kindling/paper and firewood depending on trip
20. insect repellent, sunscreen

>>Collapsible Ice chest/storage container
>>BBQ & Fuel (propane multi purpose)
>>Portable propane fire (during restrictions)
>>Sven saw and hatchet
>>Small folding table(s)
>>Chair(s)
>>Tarps/Rope for rain cover
>>Portable stereo/I-Pod/battery
>>Outside bag. In that I carry a small stove, single burner lantern, small pot, utensils, spatula, basting brush, can opener, espresso pot, basic spices, camp soap and a pot grabber.
>>Outdoor shower enclosure
>>Games/entertainment. For me it can be fishing gear, wrist rocket, metal detector, and even a pellet gun or SKS.
>>Safety equipment. This can be weapons, first aid, and a good bug out bag.

Sanitize your water tank if you have one (since its a "new to you SMB")
Charge up the house battery
Plug in to shore power and turn the fridge on the day before so its nice and cold before you leave

Things to pack besides the obvious (food, drink, etc)
Can opener
Bottle opener
Games/entertainment
Flashlight
Appropriate cooking utensils. I watched people try to cook bacon with a plastic fork.
Salt/Pepper/your favorite seasonings
