CO2 consumer

Hi;

I received a GPS recently and it will calculate how much CO2 my driving is adding to the atmosphere. Needless to say it is hundreds of pounds per week. I've always wanted to try and balance out the yin and the yan of all that gas.

We've been planting seedlings here at the Ranch for 4 years now and I thought I'd tie in the Sporty project with a photo of one of the seedlings. There may be some other interloper in the photo, but hey it's weekend work.

I am hopeful that the 473 Eastern white pine seedlings Pntyrmvd and I planted this year will help offset some of our unessential fuel burning.

Drop a seedling in the ground. It surely can only help our little blue planet.

Regards,

Gavin

Great work. We put in around 400 Douglas Firs 28 years ago. They are maturing nicely and cleaning the air at the same time.

We think they are at least 60 and maybe 80 feet tall. My daughter is going to check them with her Brunton compass some time the week.

They were planted about 10 feet apart and never thinned so some are over 12" diameter and others are about 6".

You could just measure the shadows...

Also, Pntyrmvr, I don't think you're supposed to park on the seedlings, and I know you're not supposed to give them beer so soon!
