Cool German 4x4 Rig

Some nice engineering has gone into this one.

Man, that thing is cool! I'm in a CG with a lousy signal so I skipped through the video. I didn't catch the brand. Did they say what it is?

It is made by a German company by the name of Woelcke. This model is an Autark T5.
Autark von Woelcke

Darn thing is so watertight that it can be in up to 3 feet of water without taking a drop inside the cab, living area, or exterior storage compartments.

Man, that's a very well laid out rig. Way cool setup. Thanks for posting up the vid!

Updated version of this van on a Sprinter 4x4 chassis.

Woelcke Autark

Not too bad for $127k!

There are a lot of nice features on this thing and it doesn't look all that much bigger than a standard high roof Sprinter, just under 10" taller. Length is in between the 144 and 170 Sprinter options.

Am I missing why it says it's "amphibious"?

Yeah, apparently they are watertight 3 feet up from the ground. So all the storage hatches on the sides are fully water tight. I wonder if they have to modify the MB doors to achieve this as well???
