Re: Enjoy your 4th of July

I'm sitting in a hotel in Florida. Here on business. Would rather be in my SMB somewhere. It's a bummer having to make money, but the family needs to eat.

This is my wife's favorite holiday. In over 40 years of marriage this is only the second time we have not been together for the 4th. Last time was a few months after we were married. I was in the military and had been sent off to war. On the night of July 4th I was sitting in a gun emplacement on the perimeter of an airbase. Late at night somebody in another fire position popped off a red flare. I grabbed my weapon and prepared for an attack. Then the guy popped two or three other flares. Soon guys were popping flares all along the fire line. We made our own fireworks show. I can still picture it as if it were yesterday. It was a very emotional celebration.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Independence Day!!!!!

Very cool story Mac! Sorry you can't be with your babe. Since I'm usually at work at night it was a sweet one for me today. We grilled some BBQ chicken and had a nice long, laughter filled dinner with the kids.

Good times!
Happy 4th everyone

Am laying on the couch relaxing with the dog sound asleep at my side. Ann arrived in Finland today so we are on our own. Will be up late comforting the dog as the fireworks go off around us. Work tomorrow.

Hope you are all comfortably relaxing as well. Happy 4th.

Enjoy your 4th of July

Watching a lighting show from Mother Nature by walker lake. Was to be in Carson but hey why not let goose go for swim. That ended with digging pulling cable and a few boulders out before back on solid ground so I'm relaxing by the lake.

Did a really cool trail from the bristle cone forest down to deep creek called wyams. The funny part is I stop to take picture of a old cabin and the cow hand walks out and asks me how did I get in that way and you really plan to go out through deep creek. He did ride out to see if I made it in the morning. It was not bad at all and would make for fun run to take a group on. I guess if you go left it takes you to bishop. I did a time lapse on it so you will see the fun with cows
