They are awesome. Knew a couple who owned one.

Re: Ever seen one?

My neighbor growing up had an Oldsmobile dealership. He got the rights to sell these babies and owned one himself.

I remember as a young man getting a look inside and have to say, this vehicle was what got me into the idea of "efficient RV'ing". It was WAY cool.

Re: Ever seen one?

Looking at the Google map with the ad, I'd be concerned about rust

Re: Ever seen one?

I spotted one of these in Key West back in 1990, and thought it was pretty cool -- especially with that BMW badge affixed. (I guess it does have a BMW engine.)

(And, no, that's not me in the photo.)

Re: Ever seen one?

Yep, a turbo diesel no less, and a 5 speed manual! Thanks for the pic to show how short they are. I thought it would be much taller.

Re: Ever seen one?

I guess that answers my question about whether or not there would be standing headroom.

Dang though, an "RV" with a 5-speed manual? How fun would that be!
