Ford cashing in on 7.3L's

I know there are some out there who pay a hefty premium for 7.3L's, but this will confuse things for sure. Ford is releasing a 7.3L GAS engine. Oh the humanity.

Says it is a gas engine! Would that be equivalent to about a 460?

Considering modern modular engine technology, probably a 460 and a half, the fuel burn will be the interesting part of the equation.

Boy Howdy ain't that the truth, the whole truth and nothing but...!

This is interesting since those EccoBoost engines were supposed to be THE new thing, sure to replace nearly every other engine Ford would be offering in the trucks.

Its might be a great choice for those wanting pulling power but not a diesel---I say kudos to Ford for essentially going backward just a bit.

A little like the late 1950's Chrysler 392 Hemi, the re-introduction of the modern Hemi, then a 392 version for the 2012 Dodge Challenger.

Both gas powered V8's, but that where the similarity stops dead in it's tracks.

The marketing guys had a hand in that, I'm certain

Fiat-Chrysler is bringing out a 1000hp 950lb-ft 426 v8 with a full factory warranty. Yikes!

445ci. Looking at link it's a gas engine with coil to plug and not diesel. Diesel is 6.7 PS
