Don’t remember that painted on the road, but I sure do remember those vados! Holy crap those things can wreck your day, especially whatever you’re towing.
A side story to that very section of Road. (I should post this and other stories in the Baja 1000 thread!) Anyway....
Ray, Jeff, Janet and I were stopped at the store around Puertecitos, maybe cow patty’s I think when a couple pulled up towing an inflatable on a crap ass trailer with doughnuts for tires he busted up going a bit too fast into those dips, literally snapped the trailer nearly in 2 that he was holding together with straps. Looking for a welding shop, I think Jeff had the brilliant idea of suggesting they head down to the BFG pit a bit further down the road to get patched up, and that it was good timing to catch them before the race started the next day. After helping them better secure the sagging bits, we later caught up to them at the pit, all welded up with the best scrap metal Baja had to offer. Thanks BFG pit crew! Great bunch
