Re: Gauging interest - Windshield Service Reminders

Good call Jage on deleting the Header, and I like just adding the extra blank for each person to customize. I knew it would be a major challenge to find common ground on what's important to each owner.

And if the SMB owner is the one to enter the Height category and the actual height, maybe I can avoid being sued when somebody forgets about their new leaf springs, Yakima rack or something temporary that they forgot about on their roof, and ends up lodged underneath some parking garage structure.

Oh, and I just squinted my eyes enough to actually read what you put on the edge of the sticker.

Re: Gauging interest - Windshield Service Reminders

It's a great idea and I would definitely purchase them. Great suggestions so far as well.

Re: Gauging interest - Windshield Service Reminders

Looks like there likely enough interest, so I'm moving forward. As long as the printer is giving me the straight scoop, the price should be a bit lower than originally posted. Until I get hard and fast numbers though, I'll wait to post any revised prices. I'm starting to think that quantities of 25 and 50 would be better than 10 and 20.

My next step is to also figure out how to ship. I'd prefer having Delivery Confirmation to protect both me and the recipient, but it looks like the Post Office doesn't provide Delivery Confirmation on letters, only parcels. That and Priority Mail costs a minimum of $4.90. I'm not concerned over people here, but have some concerns about "strangers" ordering them from me, and then saying they never received them.

I did make a few changes. I removed the Transmission line in favor of a Transfer Case line. Typically, a t/case has a significantly shorter service interval than a transmission. I also removed the header, in favor of adding another "customizable" line for vehicle height,.... Thanks for the recommendations Jage! I'll have to check with the printer whether or not he thinks my e-mail address will be legible on margin, which is there to make it easy for people to reorder. I'll keep on hand whatever doesn't sell and whatever I set aside for myself, but I'd only place a reorder from the printer if there were significant demand.

Comments?

Re: Gauging interest - Windshield Service Reminders

FWIW Herb, if you are concerned about people saying they did not receive the order, up front you could say that Insurance is optional and on the Buyers dime. I believe this is how many e-Bay Sellers do it. For such a small dollar amount most people will not want to pay extra for insurance (if it is even available) is my guess.

Good call Steve. Looks like Insurance is about $1.75, if I entered the info correctly. Kind of pricey for the value we're talking about, but I like giving the buyer the option.
