How you name your van.

http://www.pointsincase.com/articles/st ... -testicles

I found this article for those who want to give their vehicle a name. The article is a facsimile, but it seems to me it's the same process. Both are dumb. IMHO

Gee, let me guess, your van has no name?

Re: How you name your van.

Good guess. The only reasonably named vehicle I can think of, just to be cordial, is Christine, from the movie.

Re: How you name your van.

You know of course this is going to be a van name thread now? You all can keep your pee-pee names to yourself.

SOUL Turtle - technically the name of the tiny stone turtle that lives inside, I've had bad luck with actually naming the van, and it won't tell me.

Re: How you name your van.

wow, "Soul Turtle," now that has some ooomph to it.

I called mine Whitey Ford because, unimaginatively, it's a big white Ford and I'm a Yankees fan and Whitey was the man if you're a Yankee fan.

That being said, I may have to re-think the whole name thing. Is it worth reading the O.P.er's article?

How about:

La Dolce Vita
Chewbacca
White Lightning
Nomadcat
Fatty Tuna

It's like naming a band, once I start thinking about it, I can't stop.

Luckily, I have to go address a crowd of strangers in far Brooklyn...

Paul

Re: How you name your van.

I dont drink and my first Van was a Ford so it's name was Betty Ford after the rehab.
The Van I have now is a Chevy and its white so Betty White just seemed to fit..

"Serenity Sled" was a close 2nd..

I'm so old I can remember when the only person in Betty Ford was Jerry.

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

The first time I took my wife for a ride in my VW Westy, she exclaimed in surprise, "It's peppy!" Pepe was so named. For Pepe's successor, Pepe II just didn't seem appropriate. I named it El Guapo Rojo because it is very handsome and very red and the name reminds me of "The Three Amigos" which still makes me laugh.
