I want an Electric E350

Okay, some giggles, but damn! Just imagine one of our rigs all jacked up with a gigantic Tesla battery and a crapload of solar panels up top. Iíd even give up range. Heck, Mt. hood is only 60 miles away. I hope I see this before I die...

I'm sure an EV van is just a matter of time. Right now, the only one that seems to be in the works is the Rivian EV van ordered by Amazon.

A "win the lottery project" would be to buy one of the Rivian AWD trucks soon to be offered and replace the pick-up body with a van body of some type.

Check out EV West. Iím sure they could build you an electric E350. Some of their builds are pretty awesome.

I bet they could! Their kits are not unreasonable. Hereís a start with a VW... getting close! We could fill the 350 engine compartment with batteries and stick the motor in the doghouse.

With Amazon buying 100,000 of these (!) and all that money pouring in, these ought to come to market pretty quick. Canít wait to hear what theyíre paying per unit.

Sportsmobile should invest in a few of those chassis and build out a nice electric rig for us. And ya, lottery funds for sure!

How many solar panels can you fit on an SMB roof? I'd hate to get stranded (or maybe I wouldn't hate it) in the backcountry for an extra week while the batteries charge back up.

I'd love a hybrid SMB. At this point, I'd want a small generator onboard to charge batteries.
