If your bored today and Sunday and want to BS

I will be opening my friends bike shop in Anaheim while he is out of town. I'm sure it will not be to busy as we just moved and do not have all the shop done but if you want to bring a chair and BS about vans stop by.

It's on the corner or La Palma and Kellogg.

If I still lived in Manhattan Beach, I'd take you up on the offer. Kinda far to drive from the Great Lakes State now...

Does the location make an equilateral triangle between Deaver Springs in Santa Ana and Turner Bikes HQ? Looking to kill a day while Deaver does my springs in a couple of weeks.

yes you will drive by the shop heading out the 91 to Murrieta. Its a small shop that is into getting the rider what they want and how it fits. He started a new wheel line last year and this will be doing custom Ti bikes direct from the manufacture.

Interesting. I've been hoping my frame would break and I would have a reason to jump on the hype-bandwagon and get a 27.5 Burner. Thus, will be in the market for a new wheelset. The Deaver price tag will put the kabosh on that but a guy can dream. What's the name of the LBS?

Anaheim hills bikes

Mike Boon is the owner.

Just sold my 27.5 and went to a 29 after riding it for a couple years. It was good Jamis did replace the frame after it broke but I could see it happening again so it's now a Salsa spearfish that I have had the demo bike for the last few weeks trying to see if I could break it and it's still in one piece.

Too funny......I worked with Mike Boon at Performance in Brea in the late nineties.

I currently work for The Path in Tustin.....stop in and say hi if you're around.

I was just at your guys anniversary up in the canyon and tested a few bikes. I'm willing to bet that we have done some rides together at some point in the past. Do you remember TCB and Bike Beat those are the my shops from the 90s.

Funny, small world. I was at the Live Oak Anniversary get together as well.

I'm just a little too young(36) to have really been a part of the Bike Beat. I went in there a few times....enough to realize what a cool place it was!

I shopped at TCB alot....especially when I was going to school in Fullerton. I still see Mark Salmon from time to time.
