As for the Van, I'm thinking something newer 6.0 gas GMC or Chevy LWB with cargo side doors no sliders or windows. Haven't even started to look yet. Just got the okay yesterday from the wife.
I sold the red Ford SMB to a guy in Austria,
I will post some picks to the other post for sure. Old school BMX pics from the mid 1970's.

Chevy Express windowless cargo van is what I ended up with. Purchasd new from dealer that was willing to sell it below invoice, including the quigley 4x4, and Quigley 3-inch lift. We did the inside ourselves. In my research, GMC and Chevy have the same base price, but the options you selct will cost more if you order a new GMC (it was around $1800 more). Other than paying more for the GMC, they are exactly the same.

Hello Gar,
Yep That's pretty much what Im planning to doing.
My last 2006 Chevy EB Express had a Dura Max, I kinda want another one but getting harder to find. I did add straight axle 4X4 I also added a pop top myself. Loved that van, I put 180000 miles on that van. Who know looking is half the fun so we will see what turns up..

Hey Ron, 4x4sporty posted this link on another thread but I thought you’d be interested. Long ways from you but they are new.

Hi Ron, One of the cooler aspects of Pt Angeles is that you can jump on the Coho ferry to Vancouver Island which opens up a huge number of remote areas to explore. Hurry up and get that van so you can join us.

Hey, Ron. Great to see you back on here. My SMB doesn't get as much use as it used to. I keep thinking of selling it. But then I realize I would never go camping again if I didn't have the SMB. So I keep it for the three or four trips I seem to make each year these days. I hope our paths cross again soon!

Rob (Bill Wilson), It's good to see you on here too. It's nice to see the old guys pop up now and again. We used to be a close-knit group back around 2010. I miss the old gang!
