Come to Wyoming. Although we have had a mild winter this year, there is snow on the ground. The mountains and lakes should be beautiful in the spring. Plenty of great trout fishing.

Or steal it. Gotta watch that with we Californians. Even with the additives.

^^^ lol, great pic!

we would settle for any weather right about now. preferrably snow, but anything would be better than the 12 straight days of no sun seeing inversion weve had...with another week of the crap in the forecast. its making people grumpy as hell

if we dont get some sort of water falling from the sky soon, idaho is gonna spend all next summer on fire, again.

Re: Is it ever gonna rain in CA?sI

I went camping in the Uinta Mountains this weekend. The Uinta Basin provides the water for the Green River and Bear River drainage. The Green River drainage provides water to the greater part of North Eastern Utah and feeds into the Colorado River to provide water to Southern Utah, Nevada and California. The Bear River drainage provides water to Western Wyoming, Southern Idaho and Northern Utah. There is hardly any snow in the range. The deepest snow I walked in was 6". Normally the mountains would be packed with 10-15 feet of snow and people would be snowmobiling everywhere. All of the snowmobile areas were closed from lack of snow. I believe we are in for a horrible drought this summer with dangerous fires in the dry areas. Better store some water in your home and prepare accordingly.

I was watching a weather report about tomorrows next snow-Apocalypse for here in the Northeast and it mentioned that CA is finally getting some rain. Enough to make a difference?

That's not clear. We were so dry, a lot of it just soaked into the dry soil. Not that much into the reservoirs. Helps right now, maybe not so much once the dry season hits again.

Lots of mudslides, though.

Places near me are now running 30% to 50% of normal for the season instead of 15%, so any little bit helps. What would help a lot more, though, is another system about a week after this one.

Re: Is it ever gonna rain in CA?sI

We got about 1.5" in the last week! Enough to get us up to desperate instead of dire straits. Or, all the way up to 25% of normal.

Unless we get several more storms like that we will have rationing this year. Worse than that, the farmers will get NO water, and that means no crops and higher food prices for everyone.

I know some communities in the MidWest and East are running out of storage space for the snow they have plowed. Why don't you guys truck it to the Rockies and Sierras? We have lots of room.
