They're not Sportsmobiles, but they are vans (sort of)...
Attention, cheese lovers! The Tillamook Loaf Love tour was stolen early Saturday morning in Manteca, California. Unfortunately the F350 tow-vehicle and the cargo trailer were found burning in Jamestown, but the three modified VW minibuses are still at large. There is a $10,000 reward for their safe recovery. (They're probably on a truck to Mexico....)
So close to Stockton and our area around here is one of the capital car theft zones in the US. I really don't know what they would want with such vehicles though...maybe to be chopped? But why burn the truck if they are going to chop the VW's? I'd think they'd chop the truck as well. Maybe just a gang prank?
Anyway I'll keep an eye out. I work a lot of area up around Don Pedro close to Jamestown and maybe I'll get a lifetime allotment of cheese

I would think the truck and trailer would be the items to chop and shop. Jeez, just peel the decals off the trailer and the trailer is ready to go. The truck would require some work. But the VWs? They're so unique that they would be hard to do anything with except get them out of the country. Unless it's just a gang prank.
