Yup, just for the record, I'll take some deck lumber and build a tree house on top of anyone's van for less than $29k. I'll do it for like 28,500.

I once watched as a guy in Alaska built a two story timber framed house on top of a 30ft boat. As he continued, the water line got lower and lower, but since it was summer time, winds were minimal. Once big winds arrived, probably the only thing that kept it from tipping over were the dock lines. In November I headed to Baja and when I returned, it was gone. I have no idea what happened though, but it was damn top heavy.

You guys crack me up... I thought we all already had tiny homes on wheels. I'm more into micro homes or tiny homes that mostly stay in place. I'm also willing to build at 25% over cost. Here's some of my work & they were built way before the tiny home crazy...
