Mercedes-Benz Zetros RV

I guess if you have the money, you can build any kind of RV you want....

Has anyone seen one of these? Kind of reminds me of a Unimog.

Re: Mercedes-Benz Zetros RV

For those times when too much is not enough!

The usual price? If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

500L (130 gallons) of fuel. No mention of fuel consumption, but 6-8 mpg is probably close.

All in all, it is too big for most of us. After all, we have very small RV's in our SMB's.

Re: Mercedes-Benz Zetros RV

The reason why I got a SMB is because I didn't want a humongous RV (or even a small RV). I guess if one needed to travel across the Sahara Desert or Siberia this would be the vehicle of choice, but as for me, I'll stick with my little Ford E-250 van.

However, I am curious about the type of comments one would get if they drove this big thing. Somehow I think it's a different wow-factor that with a SMB. It's been my experience that when people see my SMB, they wish they could have one. I think when people look at this big thing they wonder why someone would want one. Too me it's kind of like driving a Lamborghini -- people gawk, but they don't see the practical value of owning one.

To really go across the Sahara, that would not be my choice unless you go with a few others same size.

I prefer a smaller vehicule that alows me to go offroad and be able to get out of trouble by my own means. I have done it...
Unless you stay on the main trails and want to have almost all your home facilities with you.

I will admit that for a long trip around the world it would be great to have one like these

Okay AndrewST. You'd better be bringing pictures to the Valley of Fire Meet and Greet. I want to see all of your great adventures.

I wonder if it has the crosswind problem that the Sprinter has.

It probably generates enough wind to blow a Sprinter around.

Only if it can get up enough speed to blow by me at 85 mph while I'm doing 55.

What if he's going in the other direction?
