Mercedes with 37" tires

Oh, by the way, the 37's? There are six of them.

The soccer moms sleep in their McMansions. I've only ever seen G-wagens on the road.
I know the guy who sold G-Wagons until MB bought the franchise back about 5+ years ago -- and the price dropped $100k. Only one shop in the U.S. before then. His clients included folks with signing bonuses or rock stars who wanted one on each coast. Dealership shut down after the G-Wagon went mainstream. He still sells them on his own account. Swears by them but they seem awfully small.

They weren't so worried about "Tread Lightly" off-road driving ethics with that video, were they?

That's what I was thinking. This screams "Oil Sheik desert toy" for sure.

Re: Mercedes with 37" tires

Some interesting insight on the MBZ G wagon.

The truck is made by three different companies. Styler,Daimler(MBZ),PUCH(yes the moped
maker).

Styer makes the 4X4 components

PUCH makes the sheetmetal

MBZ engine and I think the final assemble.

MBZ has marketing right in Germany,England and the US, Puch controls other contries,
Its pretty funny the truck with the PUCH branding at 1/3 the price.

Still a great truck Dave

Interesting. I believe Steyr-Diamler-Puch also collaborated on that other interesting off-road vehicle with cult status, the Pinzgauer.
