Re: Monster EarthRoamer Announced

none of use need any of the rigs we drive they are all toys.
yes there are smbs that are used in work, but i think we are talking
about our rigs as entertainment.

any one who has traveled knows you will never end up any where in the world that
there will not be rigs more capable and less capable than yours.
most people as they grow older if they have been outdoor people all their
lives tend to enjoy a little more comfort as the years go by.
we have always been happy with what we have used in the past, but looking
back the direction has always been a up grade in comfort .

there is no doubt that the larger rigs mostly have less milage but from my experience
most backroad travelers in larger rigs stay longer in spots, because they are not limited
to week end or short vacations.

yes we still dream and talk about our trips by backpack, bicycle, motorcycle, kayak,
car/ tent,vw van,pick up campers,boat, van,even hitchhiking,loved the experiences
but now am looking forward to our next rig which will get us close enough
to any spot we want to explore.(yes it will still be 4x4 and almost the size footprint
of a smb!)

just remember for the sort period we are on this earth enjoy it.

drive slow and enjoy"its the journey"

Did you answer him that being able to stop over night without having to book or go to a specific place is priceless?
What can be more of a perfect ad as this for how some folks look at things:

I will say this, during my build he did convince me to go for what I wanted. Although I continue to tweak my ride, I was glad I ordered what I wanted. Some people have purchased an option they never use and feel it was a waste of money. Not me, I'm glad I took his advise, ordered what I wanted and got er done.
I'm sure I would love a larger rig, but would never have gone to the places I've been. Now I just need a jeep to get to those other spots

Re: Monster EarthRoamer Announced

I own a Sportsmobile so I can go to places where the Milky Way is my roof rather than Red Roof Inns. Yep, people don't realize the cost of an SMB is offset by the lifestyle it offers. Although the EarthRoamer is pretty, it is a more like a motel room on wheels.
