Moving to Texas
Hello everyone,
I wanted to let you all know My wife and I are moving to Rockport Texas the 25th of this month January.
After living in Jackson Hole Wy for 25yrs its a tough move. but it is for Medical reasons. My wife suffers from High Altitude Migraines. It took us 4 years and countless dollars to figure out what was causing the migraines. We are going to miss the Hole and other SMB owners stoping by to say hi.
Rockport is a cool little town on the gulf coast and our new house is super cool and on the water.
Trading Pine Trees for Palm Trees, I guess it could be worse.
I have sold my Business in Jackson Hole and am officially Retired, as is my wife.
We know have tons of time to camp and travel.
There are tons of places to explore in the south and we are looking forward to it.
Anyway thats the update..
Travel safe everyone and please shout out if your in the So.Texas area alway love meeting new and seeing old SMB friends.
Ron

I'll miss dropping by to see you when I'm in Jackson Ron, but it sounds like the move will be great for her, and by extension for you. Enjoy the coast!

Congratulations on your retirement. Hope the move solves the migraine issue for your wife. I know how hard it is to really diagnose the cause of an illness.

Your on the beach? Well I guess I have another reason to visit Texas. Good luck on the move Ron. Looking for a trip report once you're established.

It's going to be adventure just driving there.
Sheila is driving the SMB as I drive the 26ft moving truck pulling her Subaru. She has never driven the van before,
It's a little different from her Subaru and Porsche. Its a 2 day drive for me Im thinking we will take 4 days, while camping in the SMB along the way.

Wow! That's a move... Congrats and good luck! I'll look you up when I'm in the area.
Remember when you hit the TX line your like only half way there. Also when you enter Texas you are required to start displaying the Texas flag, and must hang a star on your fence and house. Oh and almost forgot you must travel speed limit in the left lane and never higher. Sorry those are the Texas rules...
It will all make sense soon enough.

Have fun, be safe and enjoy Texas. I know each time I'm there I have a good time as I'm sure you both will once settled in.
