Origins of the SMB Forum?

Hey - asking on behalf of any new members/visitors, as well as those of us who have only been here long enough to "kind-of get it"....

Question ----
Who started this forum? And when?

Thought I'd heard Jage's name (or possibly a couple other members?) associated with this a number of times?

Been wondering, as of late, how long this great SMB Forum has been around.
(And....who to thank.)

It was Jage who started and was the original owner of the forum.
Not sure when it started, the swap in forum hosting made it hard to go back in time. Maybe 2006 or 2007?

Before Jage started the forum, there was a Yahoo Chat list which was started in April 2001. It was moderated by Jay Snable and a couple of years ago taken over by another SMB owner after Jay sold his van. It still exists with over 1,400 members but there are very few posts these days.

Wow, coolness...!
Thanks for sharing that history, knowledgeable senior members.

>> And Jage, if you've got yer ears on....
.....BIG THANKS, GOOD MAN!!!
The community you succeeded in rallying/gathering here is seriously beyond top-notch. Some of the web's finest citizens sharing with/supporting/encouraging each other here. Words of thanks to you ain't enough.

*btw, that early-2000's, still-active Yahoo Sportsmobile group is also fascinating to learn about. Gonna have to go down that rabbit hole and check it out!

One of the great assets of the Yahoo group achieves is that John Kalmbach, who was number two at SMB Fresno, posted a lot of answers to technical questions from owners.
