Re: Palo Duro Canyon

Went there Christmas of 09: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2302&hilit=palo+duro

It's probably great this time of year, but we've only been the once.

Re: Palo Duro Canyon

There has been a lot of rain and snow in that area in the last few months. ...and it looked like they were getting more last night. Be prepared for mud and ruts.

Re: Palo Duro Canyon

Thanks for the info. Looks like a high of 41 F on Sat. Still most of the other places we looked at will have rain on Sat. Cold is better than rain. Any camping locations at Palo Duro better than the others?

Re: Palo Duro Canyon

We went all the way to the back loop. Make sure you get there before they close the gate or you'll spend a night in overflow parking.

Re: Palo Duro Canyon

Thanks, we plan to get there about 3:00 (have some daylight to scout things out & set up camp).
