Re: Pismo is great this time of year

It would be great to be there when a storm came in...and nobody was around.

Can you get away from the quads and bikers? I'd love to see a storm coming in!

Re: Pismo is great this time of year

Ya you can this week but not next I would think. The only traffic I had was the vendors in the morning and one group of quadtards just after 11am.
When I arrived friday the tide was out soi did not air down and went to post 5 and turned arround. more people and trailers then what I wanted so I went back to post 3. In the light I went back and played in the sand and the van did well considering I had not let any air out and I was able to get over some small dunes but it was leaving a deep track so I decided to head to Jalama beach

Not bad at all.

I did spot Bwilson going through Lompoc heading north.

Looks like heaven to me. I didn't know there was a beach in California one could drive on. Now it's on my list. But it must be a parking lot in the summer.

It IS a zoo most all the time. I live 20 min North. Email me if anyone is headed there and maybe we can share a Cold One.

It is definitely a zoo most of the time. A couple years back I hosted a low key bachelor party out there. Keg, BBQ, Bon fire, and I was the only one with 4x4 and it was a Subaru. I had to shuttle all the guys and gear out to our spot. No strippers but a bunch of fun. We were there in jun or July and there were so many trucks getting stuck and I would just Moab right by them and chuckle. Unfortunately the SMB doesn't have 4x4 yet but I would meet up in the Suby. I'm off Tuesdays and Wednesdays and I love beer.
