Looks like a fitting tribute.

Re: Sad News - Carroll Shelby

Looks like Ford may be staying true to the Shelby name and ideals.

Saw one [edit] a 2015 with Shelby type stripes on the highway Thursday. The gt-350 looks very similar only better.

Ford might be bringing back the GT40, and maybe even with a EcoBoost (though that would really surprise me). Not that it really matters since I'll never be able to own one

Re: Sad News - Carroll Shelby

Nice, I had the pleasure of driving a 2005 Ford GT a few years ago on a dream drive (B-day gift from the wife) through the mountains of CO, what a beast, all 550 supercharged horses, it also had an open straight exhaust, amazing sound coming from that thing in the tunnels.
Just to be clear, and from what I understand-They are thinking of bringing back the Ford GT(last production was 2005-2006), which was the civilian model based on the 1960's race car the Ford GT40. Can't wait!

I would still rather hear this with a nice V8 roar, but here's the new infomercial for the GT40 heading back to Le Mans in 2016.
