Re: Searching to rent a place to work on a van for 1-2 months
Crap. Well, I'm 100 miles east of Portland. My shop is big enough for three semis. The paved half is actively being used by me. The other half is so tall I parked my wakeboard boat in there without having to lower the tower. So, if the wife agrees and you're not a serial killer, we might work something out. Its very rural, so if you need something, its the internet or some driving. You'd be working on the gravel floor side as my Bug resto should be in full swing on the paved side. Will require I leave my beloved boat outside, so no matter what, a wax job in the style of Karate Kid would be in order. Internet is down, so email me through here and I can email back, if interested. Too hard to do PMs with my phone.

Er, I mean a wax job for the boat. Er, the boat will need to be cleaned and waxed. Yea, that last one sounds best.

Re: Searching to rent a place to work on a van for 1-2 months
Update...
Found a place to work on the van via the forum.
I pick up the van on monday and will start to convert it in the following days.
Will start a thread in the homemade section.
Thanks for the help, ideas, links...
Now I can really join the forum and look forward to meet you along the miles
Andrew

Re: Searching to rent a place to work on a van for 1-2 months
Ok Andrew
heres the deal:
Web cam, and helmet cam
couple of microphones and speakers
We sign up for shifts to supervise you, heckle you and generally give you a bad time
Saves us the drive to Oregon, and you will know how much we love you
post your link here
Realisticly, you are starting a great adventure
I am sure we all look forward to the PICS!!
all the best
Mr. and Mrs. Wilson and Cooper
ps
still like the idea of a web cam, and we could learn choice vocabulary in swiss and french

Andrew
On your travels swing thru Jackson Hole Wy and say hi. Gate way to Yellow Stone NP.
Also up date us on the build with picks.
I would love to do a house swap for a month in Switzerland.
