Sleepless in Seattle

I know this is a lame post. I just had to let other people know that could understand how I feel that I am having a hard time here in Seattle, WA.

Two weeks ago I shipped my Van down to Chris @ Ujoint for the full work over. 6.0l package, egr delete, new main and aux fuel tanks, exhaust, leafs in the front with bilsteins, deaver rears, ARB lockers, On Board Air, Air Bags on the rear axle, tires, rims, you know basically everything that can be done is getting done, U-Joint style which I personally think is second to none... I know I will be without my van for quite a while but I am having a hard time already. I just sit around depressed, thinking of fly fishing, camping, kayaking, and general good times...

I was planning on having it go to sportsmobile for a new top and interior when it is done at Ujoint but I just don't think that I can wait that long.

I know, lame post, whiny and annoying, I just miss my wagon.

Re: Sleepless in Seattle

You're supposed to have major work done during off-season, or then again, mabe you want it back for ski season.

Just wait until Chris starts teasing you with pictures.

Re: Sleepless in Seattle

Yea this is my off season, Water is low whitewater kayaking is pretty much dead.

Fall Rains, Spring & Early Summer Melt! That's my ace O spades.

But still I like a weekend here or there of camping the summer... and right now I can't find the motivation to pack my Yukon full of camping stuff for the family...

Re: Sleepless in Seattle

I understand your feeling, sorry for you.

Mine is also about three months behind schedule because of parts non arriving during several months. U-Joint have now almost finished to work on and we actually build the interior. I should have started my trip in July, it won't be before September... Anyway, life doesn't stop for that...

Like I told Jeffery about his rebuild, it's not getting older, it's getting better. Hang in there!

I waited, and the pictures have begun, I don't think the photos are making my wait worse, but they sure are getting me antsy!!!

Re: Sleepless in Seattle

while the body is off, let's think up another dozen or so things you can add to it!

Re: Sleepless in Seattle

There is not much that can be added. And yes I am in Fairwood, my van is in NC ...

here is what we have so far.
6.0 full kit w/erg delete, new Gaskets oil cooler etc..
New Aluminum Main Tank around 40Gal
New Aft Tank
New Exhaust
On Board Air, ARB Lockers w/ Posi kit
Bilstiens & Deaver Leaf to Front & Rear
Air Bags in Rear
Upgraded Front Axle
Rear Skid
Tires, Rims etc..
Aluminess Rear w/ Boxes & Tire

When I get it back I am going to use it for the first season with my home brew interior before adding the VoyagerII top and having a sportsmobile interior done.

I just can't wait much longer!!!!
