Kids started naming our vehicles after something related to its first road trip. Our current van is a 2011 that we took to the Olympic Peninsula so we call it Oly

I should update my handle to Sodog because she is the one now but Gooseberry is still in memory and a great place to ride

That’s why Jezebel is still in my avatar.

One early forum join was for VW Vanagons while I was searching for a Westy. This name reflects the philosophy behind the purchase. Still have the Westy, at least until the big Dodge replacement is ready to go.

And speaking of plates, I thought of this one was back in '06 when we got the Vanagon. In the intervening years nobody got it, probably afraid to admit to their decline. Finally when renewal time came around in the fall it was still available and I took it ironically, since I never actually ever was hip.

Hahahaha! That’s a good one. Especially on a Vanagon!

Many seem to have a little extra time on there hands as a result of the current situation, so thought this might be a good time to throw this Thread back in the mix for some entertainment...encouraging others to participate.

She big, black and white and with lots of personality. Grown a bit in substance too since purchase and investment. When camped we call the whole program the Flying Pig lounge .... and fly the Flyin Pig Flag

Hah ha!

Love this campfire section.

Ya know of all the handles here on SMB your's has been the one of highest interest or curiosity to me. As the human mind works the possibilities were endless and yet somehow I kept coming back to something related to panties, perhaps "panty mover" or some such. Not sure I can shed that thought even after my time here and even with the mystery solved its good info to know anyway.

The bits about your gal only feed my previous misconception.

Of all the handles here yours and the wife's hit me as quite endearing for some reason. IIRC those came about as both first names are the same, different first initials though. The youngster who provided the inspiration with his/her reference to one of the other was very astute and cute not to mention highly practical too.

Indeed this is an interesting thread---glad it comes back around from time to time.
