It's been four years since I started this thread and it's all dusty and suffering from neglect. Plus, there are many new members in the forum. Chime in if you want to tell us about your forum name. Here's mine: rionapo

hmm, I'm on a lot of forums. I started out on telemarktips and MTBR as rockman more than a decade ago. I'm a geologist so go figure. But rockman was taken on the SMB forum so I settled for less.
On IH8MUD, powerstroke.org, FTE, the garage forum, and the water softener forum I post as stormlover or 6.0vanman. Hard to keep track of all the passwords.

Hi, I'm Jay.
Jeremy?
Jay.
Jacob?
Jay.
Jake?
Jay.
Chase?
Jay.
Shay?
Jay.
Frank?
Jay, like the letter. The letter J.
Yes, it seems that 90% of the time that I introduce myself, it gets butchered. A simple, one syllable (or even one letter!) name.

old race team I helped run... joined a bunch of forums and started using the handle to promote the team, kind of stuck, some of the time.

Rio Napo, I swam and hiked a long stretch of that River in the late 80's while spending a month in Ecuador. I launched from Mishualli, trekked for two weeks in the driving rain.
Mine is EmMay, or /eme/ the phonetics of the letter M in Spanish. My initials are m's so the people here call me Mr. M or /eme/, we speak Spanish, English and Filipino at our site.
My sweetheart's initials are m's too, but since she goes to bed soon after the sun goes down we call her Granny.
