OK. The Gen3 Prius is huge--relatively speaking. It's a full blown mid-size car that will seat five w/luggage. I know this because we hauled three adults, two kids and their luggage from the airport in it. Still managed way over 40mpg. With one person driving on the highway it easily gets 50+. It also has never seen the inside of a shop except for oil changes. Same for the Gen2 we traded in. 90k miles, NO issues except flawless, if sedate, performance and super gas mileage. The perfect commuter/around town car. I will be honest and admit I'd rather drive my Passat GLX 4Motion wagon on long highway trips though.
