NASA is going to buy a couple of these from DOD. If a rocket seems within minutes of exploding, astronauts would ride a zip line to the ground, jump in this and hightail it away. It's 6x6. Imagine taking taking this on the Rubicon Trail!! (Sorry, pic is too big to embed.)

Looks like some variant of an MRAP. I doubt NASA has to buy them, seeing as the DoD is scrapping quite a few of them. Probably just a transfer.
