This is the way to do it!

Thanks to new member Ultralite for forwarding this to me.

Ultralite has yet to introduce himself but he's a good friend of mine. Stories like this one are what we sit around the campfire and talk about. He also just bought a new toy, and I'm anxiously awaiting his own 'introduction', but I don't want to steal his thunder.

Great story!
My first 4wd was a CJ3B, (mixed together with a few other models).
It would go anywhere as long as you were not in a hurry.

That's how I was raised. Here's a picture of my dad and our 1943 Ford GPW crossing a river near Mazatlán in 1966.

That same jeep, proudly restored to its original WWII condition, now serves a new purpose in parades and veterans functions.

Re: This is the way to do it!

OK this is a very nice and cool story for all to read. I love the little swamp cooler and need to see if I can make one similar for the side window of the van while parked.

I'm seeing a bicycle friction shifter on the driver seat rail and can only think that is a speed control ????

I saw that too. I also dig the additional aircraft gauges.
