Obviously, such a person needs to take a break and build a garage or, in my case, take a break and modify the existing garage with a door tall enough to accommodate the highroof.

So, is there a name for this affliction?

If we can get the disease recognized by the AMA then the insurance companies will pay for any upgrades or modifications the doctor orders.

I’m proposing Vanus Februs, or “Van Fever”

Nice idea but for what those insurance premiums would cost you it might be wiser to pay for the mods outright. Not to mention having to get second opinions on that lift or the flux capacitor or...

I think it's contagious. My wife has told me on more than one occasion that she thinks the van is one of the best purchasing decisions I've made.

Lady Shadetree went from HATING vans of any kind for the 25 years we have been married... to loving traveling and camping in our Vanagon but still thought full size Fords were horribly ugly... to now loving our Ford E350 Extended. I really believe it may be contagious. So far she has never complained about the time or money I spend on these things.

May she forever stay infected with Vanus Februs
