Where's Angel?
Has anyone heard from Angel lately? Last I heard she was Alaska bound and was having truck issues in the Portland Oregon area. Kinda curious to hear how her Alaska trip turned out. Maybe she's still up there having a great time.

Re: Where's Angel?
Good point now that you mention it. I wonder if we need to get a long convoy of vans together to up there and get her.

Re: Where's Angel?
Dave, Alaska is in a different time zone - it is not this late there.

Well that was last night at 10PM.
I did call Angel this morning and had a long talk with her. She's doing fine, having a wonderful time but I'll leave her trip report for her when she plans to be back in a month or so. She did tell me several stories about some places she did see and told me she's using your trip as a guide...just pulled into Trapper Creek a couple nights back on your suggestion Mike. She is now off toward Valdez (if that's how you spell it).
She says thank's for everybodies support and concerns and will make a full trip report when she gets back. I wished her a great time and told here that I sure would like to be there as well as would many on this site I'm sure.
Dave

Re: Where's Angel?
Glad to hear Angel is having a good time. Happy I was able to give her some ideas of places to visit, but as far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong in Alaska. Well, maybe it wouldn't be such a good idea to drive your SMB there in the winter.
Angel didn't need my ideas, just a good map and follow the roads. As Homer Simpson once said "It's all GOOD!".
I can't think of a single place we've been that I would choose to avoid next trip. Well, there was one place we avoided on the last trip. First time we started to hike 5 miles from the river to Kennicot. The mosquitos were such that the last time we paid $5 apiece to ride the shuttle.

Re: Where's Angel?
Almost got on the phone to call Angel as suggested. Then I decided I'd better read the rest of the posts first. Glad daveb was able to get a hold of her. I'm looking forward to her report.
On another note, I just learned this morning that my 62 year-old brother is heading to Alaska to work in the oil fields up there. Seems like bad timing weather-wise. But he's an ol' rigger from Wyoming, so he's used to the cold.
