World no longer upside down
I did 400 miles on the interstate today, without McBeast, but I saw something I have not seen in a while.
I saw diesel prices less than regular unleaded prices at a number of different places

Re: World no longer upside down
Diesel has been like that for a while around here until a few weeks ago when the summer prep pricing went into affect. Typical but still better than last year.

Re: World no longer upside down
Around home and on all my travels of late, I have always seen diesel being more than regular.... I guess it was this last runup over the last two weeks or so that got it back to where it had been before the runups of 18 to 24 months ago.
Even on the road this last week, in the far north, diesel was still more than regular. I have not been back east in the last few weeks, but diesel was higher there a month ago.
I am just happy to see that things are returning to a previous norm.

Re: World no longer upside down
Diesel has been under Unleaded for the last 4 months. But, it is still $2.399-2.699. Unleaded runs $2.539-2.799. Tomorrow I start driving from California to Iowa, and then onto Alaska. Wonder what prices I'll see as I drive across the country and across Canada.

Re: World no longer upside down
That is pretty much what is happening here:
- Gas is going up
- Diesel price is stable
One of the reasons given why diesel was sooooo high, was the fact that when supplies were tight and prices went up, gas use went down while diesel usage stayed the same. Many gas consumers cut back with high prices. Diesel users are mostly commercial users and the consumption is constant. Now it looks like gas consumption is heading up and diesel consumption is constant.

Re: World no longer upside down
2.25 for the last couple of months and now it jumped to 2.28. I'm not complaining yet.

Re: World no longer upside down
You must have been down South... up North Denver way it's $2.19. We've actually saved 40¢/gal by going down to Littleton, which is pretty insane for the same metro area.

Re: World no longer upside down
Jage,
We found $2.09 at the Valero in Arvada. This was on the 15th so prices may have changed since then. Either way you have it better than us diesel is $2.50 in Seattle at the cheap station.
