5 minute video of a desert run...

Took a half day trip out to the Plaster City area in Imperial County on Saturday. Friend of mine came along with his Series 100 and trailer he is building up. Although we only hit mild roads it was more comfortable than I thought it would be.

Video at below link and photos at the one below that.

Just one suggestion, since we Forum folks are at least a little biased... give the camera to the Toyota guy so we can see your cool van in action!

Someday I hope to meetup with y'all at the Lazy Lizard

You didn't see a lot of other people out there did you?

Great little ride, thanks,

Mike

Re: 5 minute video of a desert run...

Mike, I was surprised how few people were out there! Usually there are a ton but I think the wind kept a lot of people away. No fun camping when the wind is blowing sand into everything. We have been out there with our main group on Thanksgiving with 60 people and the wind picked up right at as we were serving dinner. It was a mess....

It was fun to get inside the van and crack the window open to peek out while my buddy was getting a sand storm sandwich for lunch. Membership does have it's privileges!

My buddy had a lost guy on a motorcyle in a sand storm find my Buddy's Van, in the middle of Octoillo / Anza Borrego. Could not see a thing but apparently he saw the van out in the boonies and knock on it for help..

I've been in a couple of those Desert sand storms, and it feels like your doing 60mph in the van..
