There are a lot of Sportsmobiles out there....! On road trips, I tend to spot a new Sportsmobile every 2-3 days. My wife and I have running bets on just how many we'll see. The last one I spotted was out on the Oregon coast this past weekend, a white Voyager Top 4x4 heading westbound on Little Nestucca Hwy late morning Monday the 24th.

We need a secret handsign or something.

Geofff, that might have been us. We were on our way to Seattle and decided to check out the OR coast for a change. Did the SMB you saw have a roof rack, off-road lights and bikes on the back?

That grainy photo I posted (taken with a camera I have mounted to my windshield) shows a vehicle with a chrome bumper and it doesn't look like it has a roof rack, so -- no, I don't think so.

Thanks, CJ! Most of my photos were taken with my old Canon S30, which was a great compact camera 7 years ago. It's just fine for website photos, and has excellent low light abilities. In the past year, I've moved to using a real SLR camera -- a Nikon D80, and the old Canon S30 has been mounted on the windshield for USB-controlled time-lapse photography. In general, my secret is to take lots of photos (only show people the best ones), and use sometimes Photoshop to clean up the brightness/contrast a bit.

Canyonclan and I were up there so that may have been two of the five. I also spotted 4 SMBs on Friday after Thanksgiving. Lot of fun places to explore in the Owens Valley.
