For our first family camping trip, we went out to the south side of the Alpine Wilderness (North of Cle Elum), Roslyn and Ronald. The campground at Salmon La Sac has been closed from the winter's damage last year but is expected to open later this month (July 08).
The weather was warm, creating quite a few waterfalls and filling the Cle Elum lake.
We stayed at Wish Poosh campground with some friends before heading out toward Cooper Lake and the forest service roads around that area.
Owhi campground still had some snow and we were finally stopped by snow on the dark side of the forest service roads. We could have pushed somewhat further but it was clear we were the first vehicle on the road for the season and I don't have extensive self rescue equipment yet.
The road(fs 4600?) itself was washed out within a mile from a stream that was diverted with a small landslide. The FS indicated that it was still too early to run a maintenance crew through there.
We also spent a night along the Cle Elum river.
All in all it was a good first family trip when the van performed well. We took away a number of small changes we need to make but nothing dramatic.

The remains of a snowmobile left on the road. Hopefully he had a friend otherwise it was a long cold walk home.
