That looks soooo cool VD!!!!! SMB's look great and the 4x4 makes them look even cooler, but for ME, that makes it look like a 'Rad' van/color model you'd build as a kid as you'd dream of owning one one day or even and Aurora slot racer or Hot Wheels....well at least that's the feeling I got when I first saw the pics! Excellent...So very Excellent!

Was about to suggest the same thing---this sort of thing is "easy" only with a lot of hands-on experience. Take window tinting for example---watching the pro's go at this makes it look sooooooooo simple and easy. DIY not quite a well done though.

Wanderer I like that color, one not seen very often on most any van.

That's so funny because I have the exact feeling when I look at this beast in my driveway! I still have my slot car set with a van!

I really like the color. Did they also do inside door jambs etc?

Looks great! But I gotta ask: if the wrap cost $3k, did you consider just painting the van? Probably wouldn’t have cost too much more?

True but the labor required to do a full body color change is simply ridiculous---done correctly that is. Even without meticulous attention to detail masking the exterior fittings (door handles, lock cylinders, grill, tail lights etc etc) is the time-consuming parts.

The advantage of an "affordable" wrap is color changes are relatively easy to do if the mood strikes.

Another advantage of the wrap is availability of patterns that would be extremely difficult to accomplish with traditional painting techniques.

I did not even consider a paint job. I have too many cars already and the prep when I end up painting one just overwhelms me. I only too off the flares and the awning for the wrap. Ford van hoods are fiberglass and the prep and skill to those right costs more in my experience. I can just "unwrap" this and go back to mexican racing stripes if this gets too torn up or wrap it again in 10 years if I still have the van. Last thing is just how cool the wrap looks compared to paint. A repaint "might" look really good but a nice quality paint job would be plus 10k.
