GM Quigley in Monterey?

Anyone have a Quigley 4x4 conversion on a GM van near Monterey, CA they would be willing to show a friend?

Gonna be our only choice in a year or so. Diesel available too--for $12k!

I have one but I am about 7 hours south. Curious, what is $12k? A Duramax Quigley with a solid front axle? Is it either 3/4 or 1 ton? Trust me, if that is what it is, you don't need to look at one, just buy it, someone!

Presupposing SMB will drop any 4x4 conversions without the econoline, instead of moving it to the new most popular platform- and that they're not bringing in something besides the transit and sprinter.

Oh and there is always Nissan.

GM Quigley in Monterey?

Any indication of 4x4 Nissans or Sprinters coming?

Re: GM Quigley in Monterey?

Understand your question now, you are talking about a new with a $12k diesel option. Sorry, I'm just a bit slow.

Honestly, I would think long and hard before purchasing a GM conversion with IFS, I just think it's too much of a weak link, especially on a SMB riding with 10k# everyday. I understand Quigley is now lifting the IFS vans, which I do not think is optimal and maybe even less durable than stock height.

OTOH, if you can find a co. to do a Dana 60 front end on a GM (that's the setup mine has), I think it's tough to beat.

Z,
Not sure if you saw this or if it really is true or not.

Post on the sprinter source forum about 4x4 sprinters for the US market. I'll believe it when they show up.

Re: GM Quigley in Monterey?

I agree that's what it seems like, all wheel drive, light duty. I have seen several posts on the portal from owners in Europe that have the 4x4 and they seem pretty capable.
