I recently bought my 2WD 1997 E250 extended body, gas V8 with 90k miles on it in Huntington Beach. Similar layout. Lifted and offroad rims/tires for $25k. mine doesnt have the aluminess goodies like yours (except a side ladder), or solar panels. I think I overpaid a bit but I was in a "bidding war". I think you could easily get $20k-$25k if you sell it during spring/summer. Prices for toys usually go down during the winter time. I saw a 2WD with a fixed high top, 4" lift, full aluminess bumpers and roof rack, go for $30k. I also thought it was priced high, but apparently most people pay more than they wanted to for their SMB

Thanks for the input, MRR918. I appreciate your help. Looks like the family wants to have one more outing in June before we set the SMB free. Hopefully I will find a bidding war for my rig when the time comes! Happy trails.

Not to steal room on your thread, crustyfish1 but I too am searching for a "value" on my van- seems many of you have a really good idea on the market, options and things to look for. When I purchased this rig I didn't have an idea of true market value as the SMB world is all brand new. I'm looking for some info to share with my wife in case I need to fix the hole in our bank account as a result of this purchase.

Vitals:

2000 Chevy Express 3500 w/ 350 Vortec Gas - 156k miles

Recently completed FULL service: All fluids flushed and changed, spark plugs, all filters etc. The last 1,000 miles it has driven, started and stopped like a champ!

-Sportsmobile Conversion
-Interior condition is good, all seats and carpet in good/great condition
-All appliances work
-Exterior is in great condition with the minor scuffs here and there. Seems very typical of 156k miles

Specs:

-4x4 Conversion: Advanced Four Wheel Drive System of Salt Lake, done: 09/2006 (I have asked Advanced for the full build specs on the 4x4 system)
-Newer 10-Ply Tires
-Poptop: Sportsmobile, great condition, no leaks
-Suburban forced air furnace
-Mic
-Fridge
-Secondary A/C system
-Sink
-Water holding tank
-Electric water pump
-Two Burner Cooktop
-House Battery (under sink)
-Breaker box
-Converter/charger
-gray water tank for sink
-City water hookup
-RV style exterior plug for shore power
-Two swivel front captains chairs
-Rear single removable swivel jump seat with belt
-Underslung propane tank
-Hitch

Would love to hear everyone's opinion on value.

Cheers.
