New member introduction plus pics of new SMB

I've been lurking for a while but now that I picked up the new van last Thursday I thought I'd out myself & post some pics. We do a lot of road trips for snowboarding & camping & I outgrew (actually my girlfriend overpacked) my Xterra 4x4 so I picked up a Titan 4x4 pickup. A pickup ended up not being the best choice for how we travel so I bit the bullet & ordered what I had wanted since seeing one on the road years earlier. This is my first RV experience so I've got a lot to learn.

Our van is fairly standard so not much out of the ordinary as far as SMB's go. It's a 2013 RB 4x4 with the RB50 build. No propane but we added the shower in back, penthouse top with motor front & rear bumpers & a winch. I added an air locker front diff to go along with the limited slip rear. I went with a white van since I didn't feel like paying to paint the penthouse & white is easy to touch up.

We're taking it up to Mammoth next week for a trial run. I'll drain all of the water out of it since I'm not sure if any pipes will freeze up there. We're hoteling it on this trip so it won't be missed. I've posted a bunch of pics on my photo sharing site if anyone is interested in looking:

Very impressive. Sorry you have to slum it in a hotel in Moab. She looks like the penthouse for sure. Where's home?

Happy for you rltilley!

Could you just share what are references of solar pannels you installed on your top? Thanks.

We're in San Diego, CA. We'll likely wait until snowboarding season is over before we start camping in the van.

There's a snow boarding season in San Diego?

Welcome aboard.

Mammoth is only a 6.5 hour drive away (depending on traffic). They just got 6' of snow over the last couple of days and already have an 11' base . The local mountains are only two hours away (and not very good) but you can easily surf and ski in the same day.

Oh wait, San Diego sucks, no one should ever move here...

rltilley - Van looks great, have fun with it. I think you should only need to drain the outside water lines. At least that is what I've always done without any problems up there.
