Re: New to me, Older than me, 1989 SMB

Thanks it has been a fun little project/hobby for me. It has the 302, AOD Tranny. Im lucky it already had the the driver and passenger seat base swivel which is nice. Did change the coolant fluid but honestly didnt even know you could change the diff fluid. Tires were manufactured in 2009 and have awesome tread left but have been sitting for the last couple of years which makes me a little nervous. I looked them over and didnt see any big cracks or anything but didnt really know what to look for. Planning on replacing front brakes when the weather cooperates, Im bummed this beast doesnt fit in my garage.

I just did the diff at 60,000. I was surprised it needed it. I have limited slip so getting the right fluid was different.

Nice rig! Good luck with your resto project! I just scored a 1994 Ford E250 EB SMB with the PH top! (Not as cheap as you though!) LOL! I still can't believe I actually own a SMB! LOL! Congraulations and Good Luck! Lee

Thanks man! And I checked out your new rig thats pretty sweet! I have been slowly working on mine, it has been harder during winter but will post some updated pics soon. I happened to rhino-line the whole thing black. Ha Pretty funny but it wont rust and you could throw a brick at it.
